Ford Repair: 2001 ford taurus, bolt and nut, wheel hub
QuestionI'm replacing wheel hub and I don't know what to do after I have center nut removed and I can't push spindle back far enough to get 3 bolts out. I have tie rod removed and I removed nut from bottom of control arm to ball joint but I am concerned about how strut and spring will react when this is pushed out and do I need to remove control arm completely before using pitman tool to release ball joint?
Answeru have to remove the center nut andand then remove teh caiplerand rotor then remove the bolt and nut for lower ball joint , and then u have to disconnect lower control arm from spindle and once that is done get a air hammer and chisel out the axle and them remove 3 bolts on back and done
