Ford Repair: pvc valve, oil filler cap, pvc valve

since ford and mercury are the same please help. i have a 88 cougar with a 302. looked every where for the pvc valve but caint find it. could the previous owner took it out? where should it be? please help. also it is fuel injected

  Well...it's been a long time since I've worked on a Cougar, but I can't imagine it's too different from other Ford 302s of the era (although there's a slight possibility).  The PCV valve should be attached to the rubber hose that leads off of the oil filler cap on the driver's side valve cover.  Hope this helps.
