Ford Repair: Cooling fan, electric cooling fan, fuse panel
QuestionMy girl friend has a 1983 Mustang with a 3.8 v-6. The electric cooling fan does not work when motor is running and the temp. is up. I did check it out and it does work. Is there a relay for this and this sound kind of dumb, where is the fuse panel ? Thank's Scott
AnswerSorry for the slow response, I haven't worked on a mustang of that year so I had to do a little homework to get you a good answer. Yes, there is a relay, and I found out the same relay is used to control the air conditioning (if equipped). Bad news is, I don't know for sure where it is located, I can only assume it would have to be under the hood. Your fuse panel is under the dash, right above the brake pedal. The lower-right corner has your cooling fan fuse. Good luck,
Jason
