Ford Repair: air filter, ford class, vacuum hose
Question1989 ford class c motorhome
i was going down hill at around 2500 ft. and the motor stopped running,we took off the air filter and the box and the motor ran great after that with no problems at any alt. 2000 to 8000 ft above ,do you have any thoughts about why it worked so well without the air cleaner on. ps the air cleaner was new
AnswerHello Robert,
What you are describing really seems odd. The air filter itself shouldn't affect the way the engine runs that drastically. Is it possible that when you removed the air intake that a sensor or vacuum hose was disconnected that would affect the way the engine runs? I would try checking for things of that sort first. Good luck! Shaun.
