Ford Repair: ford starter, solenoids, stator

on a 1987 E350 with a 460. after the key is turned off the engine will still turn over. it haves a new starter.

John, recheck the wiring on the solenoid.  If you removed the "stator" wire on the solenoids, you might have crossed them.  The only other suggestion I can give you is to replace the solenoid, or hit it briskly with the handle of a screwdriver.  The switch might be stuck.   I hope this helps,   Jason
