  Well...my book with all of the specific ID numbers I have is still boxed away after my move, but I'll take a shot at it, but part of it doesn't make sense to me.  The block is a 1984 casting, but the first "A" doesn't make sense to me.  It would normally be part of the Galaxy model line, but the Galaxy was discontinued quite awhile before '84.  From what I can guess it came out of some type of light truck...but then again with the Galaxy code in there I'm not really willing to commit myself to that entirely.  For a full breakdown of part numbers, a quick and dirty search came up with this site: http://www.classicmustang.com/decoding_part_numbers.htm .  Seems good enough.  Hope this helps.
