Ford Repair: fuel filters, spark plug wires, fuel filtrs

HI Tim My questions is I have a ford 150 4*4 pickup, 5.9 liter 6 cylinder engine. I sounds like is is puttering a littile when ideling and when I driving in town I can feel it puttering as well. I think this problem is my fuel filter. Could you please tell me where my fuel filtrs are located on the pick up. and How difficult is it to replace them. Thank you

The fuel filter is located on the driver side frame rail towards the center of the truck. You need a special tool to unlock the fuel line from the filter.

As for the rough running engine I doubt a fuel filter alone will fix it. I would suggest a good tune-up including spark plug wires and spark plugs, dist cap & rotor.
