Ford Repair: Ford Windstar 98, ford windstar, vacuum leak
QuestionI have a 98 windstar 3.0l, when i come to a complete stop and set a few minutes it starts to shake, and if I try to go when it is doing that it is sluggish then kicks in really hard. I had a air intake control module recently put in and it stopped for a day and started doing it again, but it doesnt shake as hard. The engine light isnt on either. Can you help me?
AnswerI suggest checking for codes, not all problems will turn the light on. Checking codes is one of the first steps in diagnosis.
What you describe could be as simple as a vacuum leak, a MAF sensor, or as deep as a stuck intake runner control. A code check will give a better idea of which area to check out.
