Ford Repair: k members, mustang v6, motor mounts

Question
Can a 04 mustang v6 chassis accept a 5.0 v8 or 4.6 v8 engine? Also what role does a k-member play in engine mounting(mustangs)?

  Sure...an '04 can accept a K member for 4.6L motors and 5.0L motors, but the 5.0L K member would likely have to be specifically for the swap.  A K member from a 4.6L of the same body style should drop right in.  As for it's roll in mounting the engine, it's basically what the engine mounts to.  The motor mounts are attached to the K member and then to the motor itself.  Some specialty K members can even mount the engine further back...but that's not really intended for street use.  Hope this helps.
