Ford Repair: ABS, 1999 mercury sable, mercury sable

I have a 1999 Mercury Sable Wagon with 59000 miles. I have had problems with brakes but recently the ABS light came on. I took it in and they replaced the speed sensor and replaced both front and back brakes. Two days later the light came on again. They said the main speed sensor went out and it would cost over $500. Are there more than one speed sensor?

Hi Ron,
You need to take your car to another Ford Dealer. Get the codes pulled and get a good estimate on repairs. There are 4 ABS sensors-one at each wheel-. Get the codes pulled and E-mail me back and I can give you an approx. cost.
