Ford Repair: 1999 ford expedition, headlamp bulbs, ford expedition

hi i own a 99 ford expedition and the left headlight keeps going dim but not completely out and then coming back on but now both headlights are out completely i checked all fuses inside and under the hood. the weird thing is that when i do turn my headlights on only the parking lights work and the bright light sighnal is on.

I think you may have broken headlamp filaments. To be sure you will need to check power and ground at the headlamp bulbs. Or take the bulbs out and look for a tiny wire flopping loose inside the bulb, like a typical house lamp except it probably won't rattle.
