Ford Repair: fuel, flexible fuel vehicle, cougar v6

Question
I have a 1999 merc cougar V6 2.5 Duratec 24 valve DOHC can I burn the E85 fuel in this vehicle.

  To my knowledge they never made any FFV (flexible fuel vehicle) Cougars.  You'd need to have a FFV car to be able to use E85 ethanol.  However I admittedly never paid a whole lot of attention to Cougars, so if I could be wrong.  All FFV vehicles carry a badge on the fender that looks like a road that turns into a branch with a leaf and says "FFV" on it.  If you've got one on your car, that means you can use either E85 or gas or a mixture of the two.  Hope this helps.
