Ford Repair: permatex removable, sealent, sealant

 i have installed a intake manifold with gasket and prematex  sealent but later i had to remove the intake. what is the best (easiest) at removing the sealant from the mating surfaces

Use a good quality scraper. You might have to use an abrasive like sandpaper to clean it thoroughly, just lay some rags or towels in the engine to keep grit from getting in the engine.

Silicone RTV, designed for this type job, is better for cleanup than the sealant. And it doesn't harden
