Ford Repair: trip computer, fuse panel, duty diesel

all of a sudden our trip computer has stopped working....we have a 2001 ford f250 duper duty diesel....the console has the compass ,miles and so forth....we recently had a windshield installed..do you think there is any possibility of wires be cut..thanks

Anything is possible, although the probability would be small. Is your trip computer in the floor console or on a overhead console? Is the display blank or t doesn't change? Do any of the buttons do anything? I'll see what I can find out about fuses and let you know later


The only fuses associated with that display that I can find are #28, and #19, both inside in the fuse panel under the dash. Check those. The wire harness to that console might run along the top of the winshield, I am not sure. If one of those fuses is blown, could have something to do with the windshield work. Or could be another cause. That is the best place to start
