Ford Repair: 99 Ford Windstar EGR Valve, ford windstar, egr valve

My 99 Windstar was diagnosed with PO 401 Egr Insufficient Flow and PO 720 Output circuit Malfunction

I am not mechanically inclined so my question is how hard is this to fix and how much will it cost?  
Also my O/D light blinks when I start the car it stays blinking for up to 10 minutes while I am driving.  Sometimes the car jerks when the light goes off or back on What do I do?

Hello and thanks for the question...I'll try to help.
It isn't as simple as getting a code and replacing a part...you can if you're rich....but the codes are there as a starting point for diagnostics, they are not a "THIS IS THE PART TO REPLACE".....
As for the transmission light.......have it checked out at a garage for codes, and like above........have them diagnose what's wrong.
