Ford Repair: egr, ford taurus, acceleration

Hi  we have a 2000 Ford Taurus.  The check engine light is on and when put on the computer we learned that there is a problem with the Electronic Gas resirculator. EGR .  Also I notice a problem with poor acceleration at low speeds.

Hello and thanks for the question...I'll try to help.
I can't shine any light on it.....you have given me no useful inforamtion, besides year and model. I need to know, engine size, AC (yes or no), ABS (yes or no), mileage, and any recent things that were done to the vehicle.
