QuestionI have a 2003 f-150 2wd,auto, 38,000mi. Do not tow anything or carry anything overweight, used mainly as a car, not truck....No history of repairs, just had it in for the pre 36,000 mile check-up at Ford. Everything checked ok.
rear end just started making a squealing noise.
Took it in to Ford. They said rear end is shot needs to be repaired $1,200. Is there a history of this with the f-150? Had another f-150 for 13 years and was very pleased.
AnswerHello and thanks for the question...I'll try to help.
Sorry, I haven't heard of any F-150 rear ends going to pot. I would suggest that you talk to the dealership, since it is only 2 years old and see IF they would be willing to make an adjustment.
Hope this helps,
Erik
