Ford Repair: CROWN VIC LEAKING, crown vic, interior panels
QuestionHERE'S ONE FOR YOU. THIS IS COMPLICATED, SORRY. I HAVE INHERITED A 1990 CROWN VIC THAT ACCEPTS WATER IN THE DRIVERS FLOOR EVERY TIME IT RAINS, GOES THRU A CAR WASH, OR GETS WASHED AT HOME. THERE IS NO VISIBLE SIGN OF A LEAK AROUND THE DOORS OR WINDOWS OR WINDSHIELD. EVERYTIME IT RAINS, NO MATTER WHAT ANGLE THE CAR IS PARKED THE FRONT FLOOR- DRIVERS SIDE ONLY FILLS UP WITH WATER. HELP! WHERE IS THIS COMING FROM???? NO ONE CAN FIND THE PROBLEM. I AM CONSTANTLY USING TOWELS IN THE FLOOR TO SOAK UP THE WATER. IS THERE A HOLE UNDER THE FLOOR THAT WOULD ACCEPT THE DRAIN OF WATER DOWN THE CAR???? WHAT???? THIS IS REALLY MESSING ME UP. I SAT IN THE CAR AND WENT THRU A CAR WASH AND WATCHED THE FLOOR GET WET. NO WHERE ELSE WAS WET. JUST THE CARPET IN THE FLOOR.
AnswerHello and thanks for the question...I'll try to help.
I'm NOT a body person, I'm a mechanic..........BUT, what I suggest you do is take off the interior panels and moulding and have a friend use a hose and wash down the car.........see where it's leaking.
