Ford Repair: 1992 ford tempo service engine soon light, turn signal switch, ford tempo

Hi I have a 1992 Ford Tempo GL 4 door, automatic transmission.  I don't know the engine size.  The "service engine soon" light keeps coming on, and sometimes the blinkers won't blink, they just light up.  About a year ago, the interior lights wouldn't turn off so i just removed the bulbs.  I don't know if that has anything to do with the problem I'm having now.  I would appreciate any input you could give me, every time i take this car to a garage, i get a different explanation.  thanks.

Hello and thanks for the question...I'll try to help.
The interior and blinker lights have nothing to do with the check engine light. I would have a GOOD garage check out why your check engine light is coming on, and go with their suggestion.
 As far as your lights go......I would take a look at the head lamp switch and also the turn signal switch for replacement.
