Ford Repair: Taurus panic alarm, ford taurus, ford garage

My wife called me and said that her panic alarm on her 96 ford
taurus has gone off several times today, without her hitting the
button on her keychain.  A co-worker said that it might be a
sign of a bad battery.  Is this true? Also, the inside lining on the
drivers side door is comming off.  and by comming off, i mean it
comes off atout 4 times a week.  We've lived with it so far, but
would like a solution to keep the lining attached to the door
frame.  Everything still works on the door, however, occasionally,
the car wont register the door being shut and we get a door ajar
light.  any suggestions you have on these problems would help.

Hello and thanks for the question...I'll try to help.
 I would suggest that you bring it to a Ford garage to have the theft/panic system as well as the battery and charging system looked at. As far as the door panel, it might need to be replaced.
