Yes my question is will a 1996 4.6L engine out of a crown victoria bolt to a 1973 C4 transmission?

  Don't quote me here, but I believe that can be done by use of an adapter kit.  I'm not positive, but I think I've seen it done before.  I would contact Performance Automatic or Sean Hyland Motorsports and see what they have to say.  Hope this helps.
