Ford Repair: veriable cam timing sensor, cam timing, cam shafts

What is the general cost to replace a veriable cam timing sensor for a 98 ford escort 4 cyclinder 2.0 liter engine.

Hello and thanks for the question...I'll try to help.
 As far as the part goes, I haven't a clue. I would suggest you call the dealership and or the local parts store. As far as the labor time goes, you are looking at about 3 hours. The mechanic has to remove both cam shafts to replace this unit.
