Ford Repair: Diablo Predator Flash Tuner, mustang gt, premium fuel

I just purchased a Diablo Predator for my '03 Mustang GT.  A friend mentioned that if I install this on my Mustang, I would have to start using premium fuel.  Is this true?

  First of all, excellent choice.  The Diablo tuner is a great piece.  As far as fuel, you'll only need premium fuel if you bump the timing up to a certain point.  The tuner will let you adjust the timing either by a user-defined program or a pre-programmed state of tune.  Of course, a bit part of Diablo's power adding comes from a timing advance, but you don't HAVE to keep the timing bumped up.  You just won't realize all of the benefits of the program.  Hope this helps.
