Ford Repair: intake problem, coolant water, water coolant

hey steve.:
what happens when a crown victoria '94 swallos a little bit of water through the air intake tube, approximately 2 ounces ? also, is water good for cooling system as a replacement for coolant?

  2 ounces is not going to hurt you much.  As far as water replacing coolant, water makes a much better coolant than antifreeze, but antifreeze raises the boiling point of water and lowers it's freezing point.  It's not a good idea to run straight water...I'd run at least a 75/25 water/coolant mix.  Hope this helps.
