Ford Repair: COOLING, head gasket, best bet

OVER HEATED ON LONG DRIVE HOME. CHECKED WATER IT'S BEING FORCED OUT THE OVERFLOW. BLOWED HEAD GASKET OR COULD WATER PUMP BE CAUSEING THE PROBLEM

  You can eliminate the water pump as a possibility since to cause that sort of reverse pressure the pump would have to reverse flow.  I'd say a head gasket is most likely your best bet, but you might also check the radiator for blockage.  Hope this helps.
