Ford Repair: 98 ford windstar, ford windstar, penetrating oil

the door "open/ajar" light stays on in  the instrument panel and therefore all the courtesy lights in the car stays on.I have checked all the doors  for the actual sensors but I am totally clueless .......please help.

This is a common problem.  All of the door-ajar switches are in the latches.  Try lubing all of the door latches with a good penetrating oil (not WD40), open and close the doors a few times.  This should loosen the switches.  If this doesn't fix the problem, a switch may be bad and the Dealer can test the system and tell which switch it is.
