AnswerThomas-
My knowledge of Ford's SUVs from a performance standpoint is admittedly limited, but I think the modifications you're looking to make should be simple enough. As for a cold air kit, I'd check around online. I'm sure someone out there makes a kit for Escapes. Even if there aren't any available, it's not too difficult for a speed shop to quickly fabricate one to whatever specs you want. The exhaust system should be easy once you settle on a muffler brand. Again, an Escape specific kit may not be available, but just pick the muffler you want (I'd recommend either Magnaflow or Dynomax Super Turbos) and just have a muffler shop weld it up as well as a tailpipe (if you want one). If you're just doing mufflers you'll stay 50-state legal since there aren't any changes to the catalytic converter. The headers are a different story. If you can't find a set specific to your model it will be very difficult to make that mod unless you're willing to fork over some serious $$$ to have a set custom fabricated. Honestly this is only really worth the money if you're building a full-on big power racecar. But check around...there may be a company offering headers for your model and engine. These days nothing in the performance aftermarket would suprise me. Hope this helps.
