Ford Repair: suspension, ford tarus, struts

Question
I own a Lincoln Cont. w/Ride control which has a leak on (1)or more shocks. I want to convert it over to Coilsprings/struts. Is it true that the Ford Tarus has the same coilsprings and struts?

  After looking over some part numbers it looks like they're actually a little different.  there are quite a few ways to convert a Lincoln over to a traditional shock/strut setup, but I don't think the Taurus stuff will do the trick.  Hope this helps.
