Honda Repair: Roar in 99 Accord, cv axles, wheel bearings
QuestionMy fiance has rotated the tires, replaced the wheel bearing, put new brakes on the car, and no matter what we have done, there is still a roar when driving the car. It gets louder as we go faster, but it won't go away. What could be the problem?
AnswerKerri, my first recommendation would be an inspection of the wheel bearings, then cv axles, transmission fluid, transmision itself, and the rotors. Is there a vibration as well? If there is does it come from the steering wheel or the seat where you sit? The noise increases as you exceed MPH so this has to be a drivetrain issue.
