Honda Repair: cooling system, coolant hoses, air plenum

I am a retired mechanic. My neighbor has a 90 Accord. The small coolant hoses broke off from the driver's side of the air plenum area. Can that be bypassed. We're here in Gainesville, Fl. where it stays pretty warm. Martin

Hi Martin, yes, you can bypass the metal hose/bracket thingy. (Not sure what the actual name of the part is.) I prefer to remove both hoses and replace with (1) single hose. Zip tie the hose to a couple of strong holds. Replace lost coolant. I hope this helps...
