Honda Repair: Car wont shift into P, only neutral, drive, reverse, pep boys, honda accord

Question
Car won't shift into P, only neutral, drive, reverse. Car will start in neutral.
1996 Honda Accord, 120,000 miles
Not a battery issue, all the lights go on. Automatic transmission.
Car well maintained. Just had an oil change about 2 weeks ago. Had car checked out by Pep Boys related to a lock problem about a week ago.
Any ideas of what it could be?

Automatics have lots of problems with that not exactly with honda this is actually the first time I have heard of it but it is with a locking mechanism located underneath the shifter console which engages it to go to park. I would check on that there is a sensor that could have gone bad.
