Honda Repair: Interior Brake Light, honda civic, brake fluid

I have a 2000 Honda Civic.  Recently my brake light on my dash comes on.  It comes and goes and there is no rhyme or reason for it.  Do you know what could be causing the light to come on?

The first thing you would do is check the brake fluid level to see if it is okay, that is the easy answer. Otherwise there is something else in your brake system that needs attention and you should take it to a shop for diagnoses.
