QuestionHow do you set timing by the timing marks?
AnswerOn the camshaft sprocket, there will be a dot which lines up with a pointer/protrusion on the front of the cylinder head at about the 3 O'clock position. While these marks are aligned, the camshaft dowel which aligns the sprocket will be directly above the sprocket bolt.
On the crankshaft sprocket, there will be a dot which aligns with a protrusion on the oil pump/front case assembly at about the 1 O'clock position.
When installing the belt, make sure there is no slack in the front portion and that is all in the rear portion.
