what is a p1401 code

Hi, Dustin.  According to the information I have available to me, P1401 indicates a performance issue with the pump which pressurizes the evaporative emissions system for the purpose of checking for leaks.

I cannot, however, find evidence in any shop manual of this trouble code being used for any vehicle in the U.S.  I suppose that since you're in Canada, the vapor management system may be different from that on U.S. models.
