my a/c system is only working on #4(all the way)..meaning when I turn on a/c is like no air comes out.I was told I need to spent around $300. It doesn't warm up.   pleas eguide me

This symptom is consistent with a faulty blower resistor.  The power is supplied to the motor and the switch in the dash provides ground.  Speed #4 is a direct line from the motor to the switch whereas all other speeds go through the blower resistor.  $300 seems a bit high.  I haven't priced one of these resistors in a while, but 1/2 hour labor should be sufficient to replace the resistor.
