Hyundai Repair: gas smell in car, fuel pressure regulators, hyundai elantra

i have a 1999 Hyundai elantra and i have strong gas smell in the car when it has at least a 1/2 a tank or more it. what can i do to stop it

You'll want to check your fuel and fuel vapor lines.  Also, I've seen the fuel pressure regulators seep from time to time.

Is your check engine lamp on?  If so, check the trouble code.  Depending on the trouble code, this could be an indication that there is in issue in the fuel vapor management system.
