Hyundai Repair: How much my transmission can take!!, hyundai santa fe, 22 inch wheels

I have a 2002 Hyundai Santa Fe 4WD and I am debating whether or not I can put 22 inch wheels on it. Do you think the transmission will be strong enough for the wheel size and won't give me any problems? I would want the truck to look nice and big so give me your best ideas and hopefully i can. Thanks!

Sorry i cannot help you.  I signed on this website as an auto paint expert and do not know why i keep getting mechanic questions.  I do know big tires are hell on ball joints and other front end moving parts.  Have no idea on transmission.  Is it standard or automatic is a question someone who does know would need to know.  Personally i put the biggest tires that can fit under the wheel opening and damn the torpedos. But that's just me.  I am sure the dealer is not going to warrenty any such mischief. Joe
