Hyundai Repair: Hyundai CV axles in warranty, hyundai motor america, hyundai cv
QuestionThe CV axles need to be replaced in my Elantra and the dealer is refusing to cover it under warranty.
8/24 - said would be covered under warranty, but I'm not the original owner. I am the original owner and I bought the car from their dealership.
8/25 - said not covered because axle boots were "ripped." Baloney.
8/27 - said not covered because CV joints "wore out." Car has 77,500 miles on it and was last seen by this dealership for the 60,000 mile checkup.
What can I do?
AnswerHello Larry,
Hyundai Motor America have Hyundai Representatives to solve these type of issues. Ask that dealership's service manager to contact their rep. or to give you his/her phone number so you can call and explain the situation. I do not know the warranty coverage on CV boots but if you are the original owner that means you still have 10/100 power train warranty.
