Hyundai Repair: hyundai accent transmission problem, hyundai accent, pulse generators

2001 accent automatic only has 1st gear dealer told me replace tranny.outside tranny shop told me electrical problem.could it be pulse generators and how much are they ?

Ordinarily, pulse generator failure would set a diagnostic trouble code.  The price of replacing the pulse generators will vary depending on where you have the work done and your geographic location.  To get an idea, you should call some repair facilities in your area.
