Hyundai Repair: Fuel Filter, 2002 hyundai sonata, hyundai sonata

I have a 2002 Hyundai Sonata and I would like to know where the fuel filter is located on my car?

Answer
The shop manual shows a location in the fuel line in front of the fuel tank, but the parts book shows that it is in the fuel tank with the fuel pump.

I'd recommend looking at the fuel lines in the vicinity of the tank.  If it isn't there, expect that it's inside the tank.
