Hyundai Repair: Hyundai Sante Fe Problem, hyundai sante fe, trouble code

I have a 2001 Sante Fe, as I am driving the car will buck and the malfunction light comes on.  Then when I stop it is slow accelerate. Then when I shut the car off, its ok for a while.  It can go a hold day before doing it again. The mechanic I use can't fix because its a manufacturers code.

This sounds like a transmission-related issue.  When the TCM detects a problem, it will store a trouble code and request the ECM to turn on the check engine lamp.  If you can tell me the trouble codes from the engine and transmission computers, I should be able to tell you what they mean and advise about what may be necessary to check or repair.
