Hyundai Repair: engine falt codes, intake plenum, induction system

  My wife has a Hyundai Grandurer 3.0 v6 engine 2000 model it shown a fault code P1159 what is envolved in repairs. thank you    Clive Harding

Hi, Clive.  We didn't have this model in the U.S. in 2000.  Presuming the engine and management system are similar to the 3.0 in the 2001 XG300 (U.S. name for Grandeur), it's a problem with the variable induction system.  To remedy, you'll probably need to replace the intake plenum.
