Hyundai Repair: 2001 sate fe trans and air, obd ii codes, transmission control module
QuestionI have a 2001 Santa fe with 2 Problems first hade the OBD II codes read first on is p0715 speed sensor where is it located and second the air quit working code was a P1529 Idle air control valve and when i go to turn a/c comp over it wont move if the comp is locked up could it show the P1529 code?
AnswerThe input speed sensor is located on the top of the transmission under the bracket which holds the shift cable onto the transmission.
P1529 has nothing to do with the a/c or any other engine problem. It simply means that the TCM (transmission control module) has requested the ECM (engine control module) to turn on the check engine lamp.
If your a/c compressor is locked up, you'd normally have the belt squealing when the a/c turns on. With the engine off, you should be able to turn the a/c compressor by hand (the part sticking out beyond the pulley, not the pulley itself). If you can turn it by hand, it's not locked up.
