Jaguar Repair: 1985 XJ6 Rear Brakes, brake light switch, rear brakes

Sir,

I have a 1985 XJ6 and the rear brakes are noisey. The pads are worn down but after inspection the rotors look ok.  I would like to just change the pads. Is this something I can tackle?

Thanks for the help on my brake lights.  The brake light switch was bad.

Hi Kim,
kim, I don't know what you are able to do or not do. But if you can change a front set of pads you can change a rear set of pads. It is just in a little tighter place. If you are not comfortable with attempting it, you need to purchase a service manual and you will see that you can do it.
