Jeep Repair: Reprogramm EMS shifter, shifters, bezel

QUESTION: I replaced my bezel shifter myself and I still have the check engine light on and the D,R,N,P light up still ( service assist light) do I need to go into the dealership to get it reprogrammed and how much approx should it cost me? Thanks

QUESTION: nO SUCH THING WHAT? I JUST CAME BACK FROM THE DEALERSHIP. THEY PROGRAMED THE SHIFTER THAT I REPLACED BUT NOW I HAVE ANOTHER CODE THAT APPEARS TO BE USED STORED IGNITION CIRCUIT HIGH CODE IN CONTROLLER. WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?

how can U program a shifter??  there is no modules in the shifter   there are electronic shifters yes  but not modules  and why u would haft to have one programed once installed  is past me  I have worked for the dealer for 14 years and never had to do that b4.
What is the code   and what kinda jeep is this to start with.
