2001 2D AUTOMATIC JEEP WRANGLER SPORT/4X4 SPORT/TJ SPORT

A/C WENT OUT IN 2005

AUGUST 2006
A/C REPAIRED: COMPRESSOR, CONDENSOR, LINES, LUBED, FLUSHED.

JULY 2009 A/C STOPPED BLOWING COLD AIR (BURNING SMELL?).

Went to get an estimate to see if it needed more coolant.
Went to a Good Year Tire Store.
For $25 they performed an “A/C Performance Test”.
They came back with you need a new A/C Evaporator Core, A/C Receiver Drier, A/C Refrigerant, Compressor Oil & Die.

Could it just be out of Freon? How did they come up with all this other stuff?

was the freon in fact low?? if it was then that would be a possible location for the evap to have it leak from.

The compressor could have locked up due to low freon and the oil drained out of the system from the evap core.  Need to ask them more questions to why they want to replace that stuff.
