Jeep Repair: 2004 Liberty overheat and gas fillercap replacement, gas filler, filler neck

Where should I start in finding why electric fan not operating? Also how do I replace my Gas filler door? A deer hit and broke door. I have new one painted and ready to go but can't figure out how to replace. Am reading your (Kevin)replies and you are GOOD

fuse 2  40 amp chk that first   then if U can  add power and ground to the motor to see if it moves.


REMOVAL
Remove the fuel cap.
Remove the three screws connecting the fuel door/housing to the filler neck.
Reach in through the opening and depress the tabs at the upper and bottom right of the door/housing. (FUEL FILL DOOR/HOUSING)
Remove the fuel door/housing from the vehicle.
