Jeep Repair: Jeep limited 2000, door latch, alien head

My driver door latch will not open unless I really pull extrememly hard. No problems opening door from inside. Any suggestions for me? Thanks a million!!

either the outside handle is messed up or the latch inside is messed up.
Did u have it replaced any time soon?    also might have the ADJ screw loose  open the door and u will see a few holes around the latch  there will be a hex hole  to which u put an alien head in and tighten it up.
