Jeep Repair: Grand Jeep Cherokee 1996, motor shut down, jeep cherokee, vehicel

i had to tow the jeep several times from AAA to mechanic places, but the problem was never solved. every time i drive (esp. in hot weather or when i'm in slow traffic) the motor starts to stotter and it there is no acceleration when i hit the acc.pedal.  a few times the vehicel recovers but then suddenly stays still. after 10 min of wait it will jump on again and drives for a little while again....   
when it came from the repair shop it always works... (of course) but after driving for a little problems starts from new.....    any idea what i could look for ???

what does it sound like when it starts to shut off. Do u drive for awhile then does it?  cools off drives good  then does it again??  sounds like a fuel pump issue. U can hook up fuel pressure gauges and see if the pressure is going away when  u stall.
