Jeep Repair: back up lights, backup lights, model car

My back up lights don't work.  I replaced the bulbs but nothing.  I can't find the fuse to it and it doesn't say in the owners manual.  All the other light fuses are shown but not the backup. Guess it must be a secret.  If you could tell me where the fuse is I would really appreciate it very much. If it's not the fuse then I will follow the other info I read on here about backup lights.

More than likely you have a bad switch on the side of the transmission.  When you go to reverse it trips a switch and the lights come on.  Let me know what year and model car you have and I will see if I can tell you where the switch is.  Hope I can help you!
